Pollinex®

Pollinex® Grasses + Rye and Pollinex® Trees are the only registered subcutaneous treatments for hay fever in the UK.

Pollinex® contains modified grass or tree pollen extracts which provide broad spectrum protection for people who continue to have troublesome hay fever symptoms despite taking anti-allergy medicines such as antihistamines, nasal sprays and eye drops.

Pollinex® is given by subcutaneous (under the skin) injections. It must be given in hospital as there is a risk of a severe allergic reaction. The vaccine course involves six subcutaneous injections given at 7-14 day intervals for the first three injections and 7-28 days interval for the remaining three. This series of six injections needs to be completed before the start of the next pollen season and for best results will be given for at least three years.
